Founder’s Story
Pilates in Topanga was born from a deep love of movement and a belief in its power to heal, strengthen, and integrate the body. Founder Jocelyn Berry discovered Pilates at the end of her dance career and wished she had known it sooner—it would have prevented injuries and transformed the way she moved. Through her studies in Dance (CalArts MFA), Laban Movement Analysis, Body-Mind Centering, and Pilates Instructor Training, she found in Pilates a precise, intelligent system that teaches awareness, alignment, and effective movement. In 2000, she opened her first private Pilates studio, eventually growing to three locations that evolved into Integration Studios Inc., each designed as a unique reflection of the community it serves.
These studios were envisioned as sanctuary spaces—places where clients could step away from the stress of daily life and take “an hour-long vacation inside their own skin.” Pilates in Topanga offers a private studio experience with focused, perceptive, and non-judgmental instruction. Clients are supported in moving better, growing stronger, reducing stress, and feeling more alive—whether they are athletes, seniors, parents, children, or individuals recovering from injury. With private and semi-private sessions, specialized Pilates options, and experienced instructors, the studio provides thoughtful, individualized care designed to meet each client where they are and help them progress safely and confidently.

A Sanctuary for Movement
Wanting to share the love of movement with people, I envisioned these studios as sanctuary spaces where clients could retreat from the stress of urban life and “take an hour-long vacation inside their own skin” to focus on health and wellness … where they could be “seen” through perceptive, non-judgmental eyes and helped to move better, grow stronger, reduce stress and feel more alive!
Our experienced instructors are equally unique, each is passionate about Pilates and each specializes in different aspects of Pilates.
Specialized & Supportive Care
Our specialty Pilates options help clients progress faster toward their individual goals…whether to prepare their bodies for a specific sport, stay healthy during pregnancy, or to continue rehabilitating themselves when a course of physical therapy has ended.
We especially delight in helping child athletes (ages 10 and up) learn how to master their bodies when they are young so they can minimize injuries and excel in their athletic careers. Our semi-private sessions (duos) are an especially fun and healthy way to do Pilates with a family member or a friend.
A Private Studio Experience
We offer a private studio experience in beautiful locations where you receive exclusive focused attention. We recognize the allure of the large group reformer studios for clients shopping price or who are young, healthy and injury free. If you are interested in joining one of those classes, but are de-conditioned and afraid of getting hurt, come work with us first and let our instructors prepare you with a series of private sessions before you give them a try.
All of our sessions are scheduled by appointment.
Regular weekly times can also be arranged for regular clients.

We look forward to meeting you soon.
